You are not the vehicle for your material,
your material is the vehicle for you
— Bill Grundfest

So what is it saying about you?

Iight so boom…

Iight so boom, you’re watching a movie, getting all in your feels and suddenly you notice a book left on a table in one scene, with part of the title clearly visible. You start to wonder, Why that book? Why that moment? What’s the purpose of filming this shot this way? You start thinking about the “random” catches of phrase that the character uses, the ‘throw away’ jokes. Everything is intentional, you remember. And now you’re getting all inspired by the way the lighting hits during the arguments, caught up in the unexpected and highly anticipated character arcs. When the credits roll, you spend an hour down a search engine rabbit hole learning about the director, the writers, and which talented person is responsible for the fabulous coat choices in every outdoor scene. You reminisce on how you didn’t expect to cry right there or how easy it was to laugh at the awkward moments. And you talk about anything from how the intro music was exactly what you needed to hear to how every big plot twist happened after a trip to the hair salon. You get lost in another world for just a little while. And it’s everything.

That ever happen to you? Or is it just me? lol
